Well, here we are! 10 years at sea, 11 ships, and 43 countries later. Having been retired from Carnival since 2006, we missed it so much that we had to open up our own agency (the truth really is that we can't bear to pay for a cruise now!! ha ha). We've enjoyed cruising so much - with our friends and family, it''s obviously a lifelong passion for us now.
So, we are proud to say that Cruise Planners is officially up & running for business! In the last week, we've already booked 2 cruises - one on Princess for Alaska in June, and one on the Carnival Fantasy. They are going to have a GREAT time. AND, we have just started getting together Diana's family for the first official Dupre Reunion Cruise for Thanksgiving aboard the Carnival Triumph scheduled to arrive in New Orleans in early November. The Triumph is a gorgeous destiny class ship, a step up from the Fantasy, and it will be operating 4,5 and 7 days out of New Orleans with a brand new eastern caribbean intinerary (a first out of New Orleans) visiting Key West, Freeport and Nassau Bahamas. We're very lucky to have such a nice ship in our home port!
Right now, cruise companies are slicing prices to fill cabin spaces on summer and fall dates. With the economy the way it is, cruising was still rated by Reader's Digest as "the Number one vacation value" for 2009", Many people are booking early and getting prices for as low as $69-$89/day, what a deal!
Time to go order magnets, posters, brochures, magazines etc etc...from the cruiselines. Call us if you'd like to receive some of this fun stuff!!
